Hi. I’m Emily, the Backpack Photographer. My love for documenting life’s moments began with photographs and journaling when I was a child. Poring through a stack of photo albums on the couch is where I wanted to be. Later, the joy of photographing my own adventures soon took off. And for the last several years, capturing life with my husband and kids as a military family living overseas and around the country has become one of my greatest pleasures.

I have embraced the saying, “love where you live.” All of the backroads and off-beaten paths, old and new city sidewalks, craggy coastlines and seaside boardwalks, parks, trails and meadows ~ all add to the trove of memories and experiences we share with family and friends along the way. I have grown to love capturing this for others; and I would love to capture this for you.
